Ads Coming to Skype for Windows

It looks like ads are coming to Skype but, from what I can tell from the FAQ, the majority of the people that will see ads are non-paying users. Hell, who cares about ads if they allow you to use the service for free?

Skype announced the launch of advertising in Skype software which will appear in the Home tab in Skype for Windows software (version 5.1 or later) beginning this week. Your experience on Skype is our first priority, which is why we’ve taken a lot of time working through and testing what kind of advertising will be a positive experience for you. Initially, we’re offering daily ‘Home’ sponsorships to premium advertisers, so you can expect that you may only see ads occasionally.
