Cheap, Ultrafast Broadband? Hong Kong Has It
I’m considering moving to Hong Kong for nothing other than the broadband speed.
A company in Hong Kong is offering 1000 megabits per second speed for about $26 bucks a month. The speeds are possible due to the density of the city and the company’s fiber-to-the-home technology.
In a follow-up e-mail, a Verizon spokeswoman addressed the company’s lack of a gig service by saying that it offers "speeds that exceed what customers can and do use."
