Botnet, Trojan Activity Increased in February

Botnets, Trojans and Exploits, Oh My! After a relatively quiet end of the year, malware attacks are again on the rise. The techniques for delivery are changing as well. The attacks are timed, rotated and in conjunction with each other, making it more difficult to defend against.

About 1 in 290 e-mails in February were malicious, making the month one of the most prolific periods for the threats, according to Symantec’s February 2011 MessageLabs Intelligence Report.
