Sony Drops Price of PlayStation Portable
The Sony Corporation announced a price reduction this week for the PSP-3000 model. Beginning February 27th, the cost of the unit will be $130, a reduction of $40. The price cut precedes the release of the next generation NGP, which is due sometime later this year.
The PSP has had a difficult time posing a significant threat in the portable gaming space. Since its 2005 launch, Sony has shipped 23 million PSPs in North America
