FBI: We're Not Demanding Encryption Back Doors

The FBI claims that it no longer wants backdoors built into encryption products. Apparently all they want now is just expanded internet wiretapping and that is it. No really, you can trust them, they are from the government and they're here to help. wink

FBI general counsel Valerie Caproni told a congressional committee that the bureau's push for expanded Internet wiretapping authority doesn't mean giving law enforcement a master key to encrypted communications, an apparent retreat from her position last fall.
