Web Images to Get Expiration Date
German researchers have developed software capable of putting an expiration date on uploaded images. The program is aptly named X-Pire and will be available later this month.
Dr Backes said development work began about 18 months ago as potentially risky patterns of activity on social networks, such as Facebook, showed a pressing need for such a system.
