Intel Says FTC Approves McAfee Acquisition

According to Intel, the Federal Trade Commission has approved its acquisition of McAfee. The next hurdle is a biggy though, the chip giant has to face its old arch enemy...the European Commission.

"The Federal Trade Commission has concluded its review of the proposed McAfee transaction and has cleared it," Intel vice president for investor relations Kevin Sellers said in a note on Intel's investor relations website. "We are continuing to work with the staff at the European Commission as they continue their review," Sellers added.
