DoT Wants a Cell Phone Kill Switch

The Department of Transportation is exploring methods required to make your vehicle a dead zone for cell phones. Citing the high rate of accidents attributed to cell phone use while driving, the DoT is looking for ways to block the use of cell phones within the confines of your vehicle.

DoT spokesperson Olivia Alair went on to clarify that although the agency is analyzing such technology, it has "no intention" of requiring it as law at this point.
