Acer Adopts AMD CPU for Tablet PCs

DigiTimes, citing anonymous industry sources, claims that Acer will be using AMD’s C-50 in its upcoming tablet PCs.

The 10.1-inch Windows 7-based model features two 1.3-megapixel webcams, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity and comes with a docking station that features a keyboard and charger. The tablet PC is set for launch in February 2011.
