IE Zero-Day Doesn't Make the Cut for Patch Tuesday

The upcoming Patch Tuesday turns its attention to Microsoft Office vulnerabilities. A total of three bulletins will be released, one of which is rated "Critical", a fairly rare occurrence in Microsoft Office. Missing on Patch Tuesday will be a fix for the Internet Explorer zero day exploit.

"Critical" here indicates a vulnerability that can be used to take control of the target machine without user interaction, such as MS10-064, where visualizing an e-mail in Outlook's preview pane was sufficient to trigger the flaw."
