Amazon Introduces First Paid Kindle App

Kindle has introduced its first app for purchase. EA’s Scrabble will join two free word games in the Kindle app store. Not exactly the most exciting game in the world, but after all, it’s a reader.

Given the current design limitations of the Kindle; its lack of color, touch screen or animation, Kindle apps will presumably be of the fairly basic, black-and-white variety, at least for now. Scrabble fits that mold.
