So all the hype surrounding new releases being able to be viewed closer to release sounds to good to be true. No more movie line waits. Your own recliner to sit and watch them in, instead of the "who knows what is in your seat" movie seats. Well that ability and convenience all comes with a price.

The FCC ruled that it's "in the public interest" to give the MPAA so-called selectable output controls, and that it will help enable the "new business model" of delivering on-demand movies closer to the theatrical release date
