Seagate Ships Portable Drive with 21 Movies
Seagate is now shipping 500GB portable hard drives preloaded with 21 movies. That’s the good part. The bad part is that they are all encrypted with DRM and each movie needs a $10 - $15 activation code before they can be played. Well, it was almost a good idea.
This is the first time that a storage company has teamed up with a studio to distribute movies in a digital format this way. These movies includes: "Star Trek," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "G.I. Joe," "Shooter," "The Hunt for Red October," "Nacho Libre," and "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius."
