Space Junk May Force Astronauts Into Escape Pod

The International Space Station is on a collision course with space junk and the astronauts may have to use the escape pod. Holy crap! Don't they have lasers or something for this kinda situation? Where are Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck when you need them?

NASA officials said the possible projected time of impact would be at about 1:17 p.m. Mission control in Houston said it's too late to move the space station out of the path of the debris, which is from a Russian satellite that collided with a U.S. satellite on Feb 10. The size of the piece of debris is not known.
