Microsoft $358M Damage Award Overturned
You know that Alcatel-Lucent has to be fuming after the United States Court of Appeals overturned that $358 million judgment against Microsoft. The whole thing is headed back to court, much to the delight of the lawyers.
"Because the damages award based on the infringing date-picker feature of Outlook is not supported by substantial evidence and is contrary to the clear weight of the evidence, the damages award must be vacated," the court said in its ruling.
