Albert Gonzalez Pleads Guilty in Plea Deal

Albert Gonzalez, the face of the hacker group that stole millions of credit card numbers from TJMaxx, OfficeMax, Barnes & Noble, and other retailers, pled guilty on Friday in a plea deal with federal prosecutors. The deal will send him to prison for 15-25 years, with multiple sentences running concurrently. He’s not done yet though, as other charges are still pending.

"He just feels really bad, mainly because of the damage he's caused, but also because of what his family has had to endure," Palomino said. "He just wants to go ahead and do the right thing and take responsibility for his actions. One day, he will go and lead a productive life like any other citizen."
