Maytag Crosses Popular Blogger, Gets Spun Dry

Is your new high-dollar appliance broke? Can’t get the company to fix it? Obviously you should tweet about the experience and companies will come running to your aid. Well, if you have a million plus followers on Twitter that is.

Heather wasn't exaggerating, her precise number of followers as I write this: 1,168,265. Within hours, she says, several big-name appliance stores contacted her to fix the problem, and then she heard from Whirlpool, the parent company of Maytag, which dispatched a repairman to fix the washer within a day. And then Bosch Home Appliances offered to give Heather a free washing machine.
