RIAA Layoffs Confirmed

It looks like the RIAA has confirmed an earlier rumor that it has made significant layoffs. While layoffs are never a good thing, there is a bright side to this news…people that were affected by the RIAA downsizing will definitely be working for a better company at their next job.

The Washington, DC-based RIAA did not initially respond to inquiries, though representative Cara Duckworth eventually confirmed details by email early Thursday morning. "Can't confirm number but I can confirm there were layoffs," Duckworth relayed. "As you can imagine, the music community is not immune from the impact of these tough economic times."
