EU Court Backs Sony in Bob Dylan Case

The EU has sided with Sony in a copyright case that involves old Bob Dylan songs being distributed in Germany.

The European Court of Justice said Tuesday that such music is protected in the EU when, at the time, it had enjoyed that protection in at least one member state. Sony says the Dylan songs were protected in Britain at the time. It is up to the German high court to make a definitive decision.
