Intel Recruits Skilled Staff from Hynix & SMIC

DigiTimes, citing anonymous market sources, claims that Intel has completed its first round of recruitments for its 12-inch fab in China. The report also says that many of the employees have come from Hynix and SMIC.

The recruitment has drawn widespread attention in China's semiconductor industry as a large proportion of the hires appear to have come from the Beijing plant of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) as well as Hynix Semiconductor's Wuxi plant, indicated the sources.
