Sony Charges $50 To Remove Laptop Bloatware

It seems that Sony is a little behind the curve with their laptops, charging $49.99 to remove bloatware while other companies have been doing it for free for a while. Most of you know we have been against bloatware for years now, I think it’s time Sony got with the program too.

The "Fresh Start" option, billed as a software optimization, costs US$49.99, and is only available to customers choosing to pay an additional $100 to upgrade the operating system to Windows Vista Business from the Windows Vista Home Premium edition offered as standard.
