T-Mobile orders recall of malfunctioning Motorola Sidekick Slides

Acknowledging an issue that owners have been complaining about since its release in September, T-Mobile has pulled the Sidekick Slide from sales. The phone has problems with power cycling when the sliding part is opened and closed. People with affected phones can contact T-Mobile for replacement.

T-Mobile USA suspended sales of the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide on Friday evening, Nov. 16, after Motorola – the manufacturer of the device – confirmed that some devices may inadvertently power off when the slide door on the front side of the phone is opened or closed.
