AMD to Replace CEO Hector Ruiz with Dirk Meyer
Daily Tech brings us news that AMD is moving to replace its current CEO, Hector Ruiz. This comes after two high level executive resignations this year in the wake of AMD's lackluster performance post-ATI merger. No timeline has been given for Ruiz's oust, but unnamed sources indicate that it will be sooner rather than later.
TheStreet.com now reports that sources are telling it that AMD CEO Hector Ruiz is possibly stepping down from his post. TheStreet.com’s unnamed source says that AMD President Dirk Meyer was appointed to the board last week and that plans for Meyer to take over the position of CEO for AMD has been in the works for some time.
