DOJ Committed to Fighting Piracy
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales reaffirmed that the Department of Justice is very committed to combating piracy and cybercrime. He is also attempting to make this an international effort.
The DOJ is also reaching out to overseas governments in hopes of encouraging them to crack down on intellectual-property crime. Last year, the DOJ provided training to over 3,000 foreign prosecutors, investigators and judges in more than 100 countries, he said. "IP theft is undeniably an international concern," he said.
