Woman Sues Yahoo Over Picture
Get this, a woman is suing Yahoo for $20 million for using her picture without her consent. We’re not talking American Idol / scandal pictures either, just a plain ol’ picture of her and a friend and she wants $10 million for her and $10 million for the attorneys. Damn, why couldn’t they have used my picture?
The complaint charges that the image has been sent to millions of users around the world without Stovall's authorization, violating her right to privacy and right to publicity--that is, to control the commercial use of her identity.
