Nordic Officials Take Up iTunes Dispute
Apple is moving closer to solving its problems with Nordic consumer regulators by having a sit down with the group to discuss the iTunes dispute.
Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman Bjoern Erik Thon said the goal of Monday's meeting with Apple representatives from the United States, Britain and Belgium was to discuss ways to resolve the dispute other than legal action. "I am sure whatever result we reach will be closely watched internationally, "Thon said. "There has been important movement in the case."
The solution here is the same as with MS and the EU, don’t like the company and its practices? Don’t buy them. With MS, there are totally free operating systems out there, no one makes you buy Windows. With Apple, there are tons of other MP3 players and music services out there, right? So remind me again why we need laws against iTunes?
