Core Launch Means Falling Pentium Prices
According to C|Net, the launch of Intel’s line of Core processors will bring Pentium D prices way down. I guess that means that if you are in the market for a new Intel processor, it might be worth it to wait a few weeks.
The new Core 2 Duo chips will practically take over Intel's product list in the second half of the year, said Chuck Mulloy, an Intel spokesman. With multiple 65-nanometer factories cranking out the new chips, this product launch promises to be much more aggressive than past ones. Intel's pricing scheme looks a bit like a flight of stairs.
