Lenovo Puts Growth Above Profits
ZDNet has an interesting bit on Lenovo posted today that I think you will find interesting. Apparently Lenovo has said that profit growth is not a priority and that market growth is. The company says they will be priced competitively and are ready for price war. On a related note, we have a preview of the Lenovo ThinkPad T60 at [H] Consumer you should check out as well.
"For this year, the goal is revenue growth. And we hope profits will improve, but that's not our primary objective". Lenovo is facing pressure on margins as it fends off bigger rivals Dell and Hewlett-Packard. Lenovo expects pricing pressures to continue this year. "If others are willing to enter into a price war, we will keep pace".
