What’s in a Name?

We have had a ton of discussion going on this week about Nintendo’s choice to name its new console the Wii. TheTechZone has their thoughts on the matter as well. I really don’t get the marketing genius in going from a cool name to a dumb one, but maybe that’s why I’m not in marketing?

Nintendo announced the official name of their new console yesterday. It turns out that Revolution was only a codename after all and the official name moving forward will be the Nintendo Wii. You can take a gander at their Wii teaser over here.

I was going to make some bad Wii joke here, but just insert your own, I’m sure your jokes are better anyways.
