[H]appy New Year!

[H]appy New Year to all, we sincerely hope 2003 brings you everything that 2002 didn’t. A bowl game and nursing hangovers is probably the extent of your activities today, but for those of us who are out and about on this first day of the year, we’ll get some news and reviews posted for you to read. Today is also the day that many New Years resolutions will be broken….if you have an interesting resolution story, let me hear it.
More Hynix Bailout:
Hynix is getting more press over repeated attempts to bail this company out of financial trouble. The problem? The money they are getting is in the form of government backed money that other companies such as Micron feel are illegal.
This decision was made despite ongoing US Dept. of Commerce and International Trade Commission investigations into nearly $12 Billion worth of similar bailouts in recent years and an ongoing investigation by the European Union into those same improper subsidies. The bailout decision was also made despite repeated protests in recent weeks by US Congressional representatives and the US Embassy in Korea to stop further government subsidization of Hynix.
Strange Letters:
It is that time of the month again at Dan’s Data, where he answers his readers mail…some of it normal, some really strange. This time around the questions are mild, no real weirdness.
MSI Granite Bay:
Hardwaremania looking over the MSI GNB Max-FISR mainboard today. The Granite Bay chipset is all the rage for Intel fans, and boards like this one from MSI show you why. Have a look at the latest Intel board from MSI.
MSI GNM-MAX-FISR, one of the first mobos to use E7205 chipset can easily be recommended for those seeking performance among with expandability and up-to-date technologies. As I said before it really deserves the name Max with its features. I think E7205 will be the most logical P4 platform within 3-6 months.
