NZXT S340 Steel Mid-Tower Case Review

NZXT's very sexily named S340 mid-tower computer case is all about clean engineering, clean design, and clean function. There are no flashy panels; just a distinct presence with unblemished surfaces, tidy panel fitment, and crisp edges. For those of you that are fans of function over form, this could be your next chassis.

The NZXT S340 is the newest member of the company's Source Series line of computer cases. The NZXT S30 product page states:

"With 90% steel construction, we're able to deliver superior durability and create a case you can keep build to build. A sea of space fills the interior, with a grommet-less steel cable management bar splitting the front intake from the rest of the case while keeping your cables tame and hidden. Comes complete with the basics, USB 3.0 and HD Audio, but gives you even more with high quality materials, a smart interior layout, and tons of cable management potential. We care about the little things. Steel plated audio jacks, captive thumb screws, and over twenty cable management points are just a few of the small touches that we’ve added. The removal of the front 5.25" bays allows us to bring an unprecedented level of neatness to the interior of your case and showcase your build with an enormous side window."

Product Packaging

The NZXT S340 was shipped in its bare product packaging and arrived with minimal damage to the exterior of the box. The box itself is constructed of double-walled corrugated cardboard with a double row of staples along the seam. The overall measurements are 21"H x 21"L x 11"W.

As you can see from the pictures, the NZXT S340 arrived in an unmarked brown box. The reason for this is that the case we received was an early review sample, obviously the final product packaging will look much different than what you see here. The case itself is wrapped in a plastic bag and held in place by thick Styrofoam inserts.
