GALAXY GeForce GTX 780 HOF Edition Review
If you are interested at all in the fastest GeForce GTX 780 video card we’ve seen out-of-the-box yet, then take a look at GALAXY’s GeForce GTX 780 Hall of Fame Edition. You’ll also find the highest overclock ever achieved on a GTX 780 waiting for you with this video card. You don’t want to miss this.
Power Testing
We tested the power utilization at the wall of the entire system without a video card, and with each video card at idle and full load. For full load power and temperature testing we used real gaming, in this case every game we tested. The power supply used in testing is a Enermax MaxRevo 1350W. Our system is very lean with only one optical drive and one hard drive being powered. Total system wattage at idle without video card is 67W.

The idle wattage was higher on the GALAXY GeForce GTX 780 HOF Edition, but we are running custom hardware, and one would expect some differences. The full-load wattage is also higher than a GTX 780 and a TITAN, but remember, it is also faster than both. When overclocked, it can consume a lot of power, increasing the voltage makes that power go up quick, but it surely resulted in a very fast overclock.

Temperature-wise, the HOF takes the cake. The GALAXY GeForce GTX 780 HOF has the lowest idle temps of all the cards. Plus, at full-load it also remains well below the 80c threshold that GPU Boost 2.0 relies on. Even overclocked, that higher fan profile of Hyper Boost keeps the temp under 80c. The cooling device on this card is amazing, and it is quiet too, even with Hyper Boost enabled.
