ASUS Rampage Extreme
ASUS’ newest ROG (Republic of Gamers) branded board, the Rampage Extreme, sports both style and power. With its water cooled capable chipset cooling system, this just might be the board to beat the heat, and a few benchmarks.
AiSuite
ASUS chose to include their newly redesigned AiSuite Windows based monitoring utility in with the board drivers. The version of AiSuite shown is 1.04.10. The AiSuite utility supports a variety of monitoring and configuration settings including real time display of system voltages, fan speeds, temperatures, CPU FSB and speed, as well as multiple supported overclocking methods.
The CPU Level Up button gives access to the CPU Level Up interface, allowing for BIOS controlled overclocking through the use of pre-defined settings.
The CPU Level Up screen displays the default automated overclocking setting available, with each of the settings setting the current CPU to match performance with the CPU option selected. These options automatically configure CPU FSB, memory speed and system voltages.
The Advanced screen allows for manual setting of the overclocking options. The selected settings can be tied to a user created profile as well. Note that for all voltage, CPU FSB and multiplier manipulation, supported options can be selected from a pull down master list.
The User Profile screen allows for selection of user created profiles, which are created using the Save User Profile screen. Note that the user profiles can set to become active via hotkey using the Enable Hotkey option within the Preference screen.
The AiBooster button gives access to the AiBooster interface, allowing for automated or full manual control of CPU FSB and multiplier, and system voltages.
The Default screen allows for selection of a profile for use during normal system operation, while the Performance screen sets a profile for use during system intensive operations
The Advanced screen allows for full manual control over all overclocking settings. These settings can be tied to a user created profile as well. Note that for all voltage, CPU FSB and multiplier manipulation, supported options can be selected from a pull down master list.
The AiBooster interface allows for selection and saving of pre-configured user profiles via the User Profile and Save User Profile screens.
The Fan Xpert button within the main AiSuite window allows for operational configuration of all fan headers through a combination of preset options and direct operational threshold manipulation via a representational interface.
