VIA Nano Processor White Paper
In case you have a few more questions about the inner workings of the upcoming VIA Nano Processor, we have an internal white paper for you. Has more than a few benchmarks and power numbers noted as well. Good read!
Introduction
Centaur have been very busy the last few years. While many did not expect a next-gen processor out of the small Austin, Texas based company that is exactly what it delivered. And it looks like it will fit very well into a market segment that Intel's Atom is underpowered for, and Core 2 is overpowered. But only time will tell with design wins. And while some folks reported that UMPCs like the HP 2133 would show up with Intel's Atom inside, that certainly has not happened. And while a C7 is in the current retail 2133 I would very much expect to see a VIA Nano inside soon, and probably a dual core VIA Nano by year end.
If all this interests you we have posted VIA's Nano white paper in all its unadulterated so you can see exactly what we have been presented. It is chock full of model numbers, benchmarks, power envelopes, and architecture information. If you missed our original VIA Nano article as well as the Centaur Technology Tour in pictures, you might want to check those out as well.
