BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT Review
A more affordable 7800 series video card? Yes please! I’ll take two! Join us as we put two of BFG Tech’s new NVIDIA 7800 GT-based video cards through our usual extensive suite of real world game play.

Incredibly, we have a full retail BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT OC video card for review for this launch. The BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT OC runs faster than the stock GeForce 7800 GT right out of the box. Instead of the stock 400MHz GPU frequency, the BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT OC runs at 425MHz. The memory frequency also runs higher, 1050MHz (1.05GHz) versus 1000MHz (1GHz).
Right on the front of the box you can see that it says “OC” and underneath that, for the uninitiated, “Overclocked.” All the specifications you need to know are provided for you on the front of the box. PCI-Express, 256MB GDDR3, SLI ready, Dual DVI, HDTV and VIVO, 24/7 free tech support and a lifetime warranty. The back of the box goes into more detail about the features offered with the video card. We have two of them for you today to show you what performance you can expect with SLI.
As mentioned earlier, the size of the card is almost half an inch shorter than a GeForce 7800 GTX. The heat sink and fan combination is very similar to the GeForce 7800 GTX cooling system only the fan is smaller and there are fewer fins on the heat sink. On the GeForce 7800 GT, there are no rear memory modules on the back of the card. On the front, all the spaces for memory are used by the 256MB of GDDR3.
The BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT OC is ready for SLI action and we will show you some performance numbers later in this review.
External power is still needed for this card, which is provided through the 6-pin PCIe power connector. The BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT OC offers up dual DVI, HDTV and VIVO support.
Inside the box, all the cables you need for this card are included for the HDTV and VIVO functionality along with two DVI to VGA adapters. There is a quick install guide included as well as Video Studio 9, which is used for video editing, and a driver CD.
