ATI Radeon Xpress 200
ATI has upped the ante at the motherboard chipset table with their latest offering. The list of features is long, but is the performance there?
Movies and Music
Outside of gaming, ripping and encoding our music and movies for storage on hard drives has gotten increasingly popular. This is where a nice, fast clock speed can pay off.

In our highly CPU clock-centric application, it looks as though the CPU clock on all three of our units is being used to the best of its ability.

Again we see what amounts to no real difference in performance. Keep in mind this encoding benchmark is a little more sensitive to memory bus performance as well, compared to the MP3 test above that is all about CPU clock. This shows that all platforms are basically identical and another reason that features are becoming very important.
