Full precision DX9 Results using the Half Life 2 Benchmark are outlined in the above graph. As you can easily see, the NVIDIA hardware takes a severe trashing with the 9800 Pro besting the 5900 Ultra by nearly doubling its framerate score. Now while in some instances you could argue that this might not make a difference in gameplay, I would have to say that is certainly not the case in the above set of numbers. Remember that this is an average, and quite possibly we would have been seeing many instances on the 5900 Ultra that were not playable. This is not to say that would not ever be the case on the 9800 Pro, but obviously it would not be near as bad, if at all bad.

This slide is rather amusing and really outlines what card is the best bang for the buck when it comes to your hard earned dollar. While the results do bunch up a bit closer, we do see a shining star among the bunch.
