[H]ard Workshop Final Update

[H]ardOCP Hardware Workshop Sponsored by Yamaha Multimedia is this Friday @ 6PM! $20,000 in prizes! Get registered! When our workshop is done, the last stop of the AMD XPP2 Tour will kick off.

When the CPL started charging US$75 to play in their BYOC, we decided it was time to do our own thing, at least for this December. We have wanted this to stay grassroots and be a part of giving back to the community and not something that takes money out of the gamers pockets.

The [H]Workshop will be on the 20th of December in Downtown Dallas, Texas, going on that evening at the Adam's Mark Hotel's Lonestar Ballroom. It is our "normal" Winter [H]Workshop, this time sponsored by Yamaha Multimedia, only this time round it is going to be much bigger, and much better overall.

The [H]Workshop consists of a bunch of us getting together for a couple of hours and talking about the latest and the greatest computer hardware. Throwing out questions, answers, and all sorts of comments about CPUs, VidCards, Mainboards, Chipsets, and Cooling solutions is what we do. A true GeekFest. We might even have some really cool stuff to show off as well.

To spice up the Q&A a bit, Anand Lal Shimpi of AnandTech fame and Alex "Sharky" Ross, are going to stop by and sit in with us. (Gotta have someone on hand to catch our graphing errors!) Seriously, we thought it would be fun to have a few more hands on deck and maybe get a chance to meet some of the folks behind the html.

Also, we have partnered with the AMD Reality Check Extreme Performance Project 2. That is right, after the [H]Workshop is done, you will simply have to turn around the other direction as the final event in this year's AMD XPP2 tour will be taking place in the very same room.

For those of you that will require transportation from the Hyatt Regency to the Adam's Mark Hotel, Directron.com has ponied up two 55-person passenger busses so you can travel back and forth in comfort. These busses will run from approximately 5pm till 12am. Everyone that rides the bus, will get a coupon good towards a Directron purchase as well. And yes, the busses will take you back as well.
