C3 @ CPL
This was the first "C3" or Consummate Case Competition that was held at the Babbage's CPL Event this last week. We wanted to showcase the winners modifications and share all the entries with you. Prize categories were broken down into two definitions. Performance and Aesthetics.
T-Bone came in FIRST in the aesthetics competition with this "Water Window" case. Great airflow with a 600 Duron running at 1GHz with just air cooling! His water block had not shown yet, but the water you see in the window of the case is actually functional! It is the reservoir for his H20 system. Very slick and the pictures do not do it justice. Also it is worthy to mention that T-Bone constructed the tank himself as well. Very nice work. T-Bone walked away with a Visiontek GeForce2 Ultra and a CaseAce Gear Grip for his troubles.
Second place went to this one PC that looked to be hotter than hell. Although it was in a BBQ Pit, it was nice and cool. Tons of airflow through the case and 100% operational. BIG PROPS to EnVaDoR! Talk about thinking OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. Second place won an ATI Radeon 32 Meg DDR Vid Card!!
Third place was racked up by the Lone Wolf Barry himself. We have showcased this mod here before, but this was the first time I have seen it first hand. Lots of the flexible neon as well as an operational "in-dash" cigarette lighter. Now that kicks ass! Third place won an ABIT BE6 mainboard and ATI All-In-Wonder Video Card!
This is the First place winner in performance goes to "shrink". A Celeron 566 OCed to 1GHz+ using a water cooled 75watt peltier system!! VERY NICE INDEED! Honestly, I was quite surprised that this was the only truly [H]ard system entered when it came to performance or OC. I hope we see more in this category next time. First place pulled a Visiontek GeForce2 Ultra and a CaseAce Gear Grip.
NOW some of the rest of the Entries...
