AMD Phenom II X6 Thuban Coming April 26th?

The crew at OCWorkbench, citing "unconfirmed sources," claim that AMD is planning to launch its Phenom II X6 Thuban processors on the 26th of April.

We received some news that the upcoming 6 core processor from AMD will probably be showcased at CeBIT as it is almost ready to announce the product on the 26 Apr 2010. Unconfirmed information also reveal that AMD intends to implement a dynamic performance boosting technology.

Intel to Introduce Faster Atom Chip Monday

C|Net is saying the rumor we heard earlier today that Intel is releasing a faster Atom on Monday is true. The new Atom N470 is identical to the N450 except the clock speed is 1.83GHz versus 1.66GHz.

Major PC makers are expected to announce new products or product refreshes with the new processor, the N470, which will be identical to the current 1.66GHz N450 but get bumped to a speed of 1.83GHz, according to a source familiar with the announcement.

A Tie-Up Between Intel and TSMC Fizzles

According to the New York Times, Intel has confirmed that its recent deal with TSMC has been put on hiatus due to lack of customer demand. On a positive note, the rumor mill says that Intel will make an Atom announcement later today.

There will be no jointly developed Atoms arriving anytime soon, although Intel continues to hope for the best down the road. "I think we had a lot of key learnings from the partnership so far," Robert Crooke, Intel’s Atom chief, said in an interview. "We haven’t given up. These things never happen superfast."

Ever get so mad that you want to post threats against your ex-employer via Craigslist? Unless you want to end up like this idiot, I’d recommend you steer clear of anything involving threats on Craigslist…well, that and hookers.

Neil Baker faces a felony charge of threats to injure, after a four month investigation linked him to threats of violence against the UCSB employees, posted on the website, Craigslist.

Google Warned by EU Over Street View Photos

European Union data privacy regulators have told Google that they need to warn people before they send out Street View cameras. You know what that means, right? We are going to see a lot more of these kinds of pictures. wink

The company, based in Mountain View, Calif., said it also already posts notifications on its Web site about where its Street View cameras are clicking. The alert system on Thursday indicated Google's picture-taking vehicles have been cruising the streets of Nantes, France and possibly other nearby cities.

Back then, Pandeya said he had investors but wouldn't identify them. When these mysterious investors backed out, He said he had his own money to complete the transaction. Then, the government seized his boat, motorcycle and other assets to pay off tax bills.

British Politicians Fall Victim to Twitter Scam

You know that sexually explicit message you got from a British politician last night? Well, I wouldn't go getting too offended just yet, it seems that some politicians fell for a Twitter scam and they probably didn’t send the offending message (I said "probably"). big grin

British politicians were among those caught up Friday in the latest Twitter-based scam which hijacks users' accounts to send out sexually explicit messages to friends and followers. Those tracking the Twitter account of Ed Miliband, the British energy minister, were surprised by a message carrying an unusually direct reference to the politician's sex life.
