Another Adobe Reader Vulnerability Found

Wow, it has been awhile since we heard of a new Adobe vulnerability. What has it been...two, maybe three weeks? They almost went a month this time without having some sort of exploit, flaw or vulnerability found. Oh well, May is just around the corner.

US-CERT encourages users and administrators to disable JavaScript in Adobe Reader to help mitigate the risk. To disable JavaScript in Adobe Reader, open the General Preferences dialog box. From the Edit-Preferences-JavaScript menu, un-check Enable Acrobat JavaScript.

Konami Cancels Six Days in Fallujah Video Game

Konami has announced that, after heavy criticism from anti-war and pro-military camps alike, the company will no longer publish the recently announced Six Days In Fallujah. Thanks to forum member "Hulk" for the link.

Despite the active involvement of dozens of Marines in creating the game, critics said that Konami was capitalizing on a war whose wounds were still fresh. Atomic Games President Peter Tamte has not said whether his company would seek another publisher.

Demand for Intel Atom Processors Slowing

DigiTimes, citing anonymous industry sources, claims that demand for Intel’s Atom processor is slowing down.

Demand for Intel's Atom netbook processors has begun to slow down as the netbook market faces price-cut competition from low-end notebooks as well as the launch of CULV-based notebooks, according to market sources. Another reason for dropping netbook demand is users delaying their purchases to wait for Intel to launch the next generation Atom processor in the second half of this year, the sources noted.

Steve Jobs Hates This House

How do you end up with a 17,000 square foot home that you hate? Hate so much that you want to tear it down or give it away? I don’t know either, you’d have to ask Steve Jobs, he’s the one letting the house collapse on itself.

Why? Because he hates the place. It was built by some copper mogul 84 years ago, and it's 17,000 square feet of decaying Spanish Colonial. Steve bought it in 1984 and squatted there for a decade. Since then, he's been trying to get permission to have it razed so he can build a house he likes.
