Hi-Tech Punching Bag
Who says punching bags have to be low tech? This lighted punching bag is kinda cool and it gives off a flash of light each time you hit the bag. It would be even better if it made sound effects…or maybe shocked you.

Rambus? Those guys are still around? Apparently, despite losing almost $145 million this last quarter, the company is still trying to make a comeback. I think the bigger question might be, after all the lawsuits and such, does the industry want them back?
Rambus, has spent much of the last decade suing many of the biggest names in the computer memory business over its technology patents, and getting sued in turn. As a result, Rambus has been struggling to thrive in a $30 billion industry where it finds itself with few friends, even though it claims its designs are used throughout the industry.
Just got our Eee PC 1000H in for testing. It is a hell of a nice looking netbook. If it will do the promised 7 hours of battery life in a real world situation; that will be very impressive.
Our recent review of the MSI Wind netbook can be found at this link.

When I say this camera was sold on eBay with “spy pics” on it…I really mean it. I’m not sure what is going on in the U.K. lately but we have seen several incidents lately (here and here) where PCs have been sold on eBay with sensitive info still on them, now we have MI6 spy pics on cameras? Sheesh!
A bidder, who bought the camera for £17 on the auction website, discovered photos of terror suspects, their names and fingerprints and even images of rocket launchers and missiles. The 28-year-old from Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, only found the secret images when he downloaded his own holiday snaps from the Nikon Cool Pix device.
Not only is Dell knocking a couple hundred bucks off each of these systems, they are also loading up each one with a copy of Iron Man. Great prices, too bad they didn’t do an Iron Man themed system though.
Get the 2008 summer blockbuster movie, Iron Man, preloaded while you’re customizing your new Dell PC to your own personal style. By getting your content preloaded, you can start enjoying your favorite movie as soon as you get your new Dell without the hassle of searching for and downloading your content, saving you time.
It looks as though those price cuts are helping Microsoft move some consoles. The company says sales are up 214% in the UK. This comes on the same day as word that the new Jasper motherboards are popping up on store shelves now too.
Microsoft has said Xbox 360 sales have increased by 214 per cent following the simultaneous price cut of all three models in Europe. As of September 2008, the PlayStation 3 has reached 1.4 million units, the Xbox 360 2.3 million and the Wii 3.6 million units.

Some companies throw parties when they launch a new product. Some companies issue a press release and others hold press junkets. Not these guys, when they launch a product, they file a preemptive lawsuit against Hollywood to go with it. Now that's balls with a capital B.
A spokesman for Real confirmed that the suit was pre-emptive, but that the company expects that "the studios will be taking action later today." Indeed, Hollywood sources confirmed that the Motion Picture Association of America plans to file a lawsuit later Tuesday morning asking a federal court to stop RealNetworks from distributing the company's RealDVD software.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company made the announcement today that it will start using advanced 28-nm technology by early 2010.
The new technology, which will support applications like cellular baseband and wireless connectivity, is expected to provide up to 50 percent more speed or 30-50 percent lower power consumption than TSMCs' 40-nanometre low-power node, TSMC said.
